What to look for in your travel therapy recruiter:
You vibe with them from the get-go
From the very first conversation you have…. Do you feel heard? Comfortable? Understood? Cared about? Do you feel like you can trust them?
When something goes unexpectedly at your contract, does your gut tell you they’d have your back? Trust your intuition on this one.
If so, you’ve got a good one.
They’re prompt & responsive
When you’re hustling to land your dream job or have a question about payroll, you want a recruiter that will get back to you quickly.
If they’re dropping the ball and taking hours upon hours or days to get back to you about important matters, it’s time to find another recruiter.
Transparent, honest communication
Transparency is everything in this relationship. You want a recruiter that won’t withhold info & will tell you exactly how it is.
Of course, you should be just as open and transparent in return. If you don’t feel comfortable asking them questions or feel like you’re getting half-truths, it’s not going to work out.
They’re knowledgeable about the travel therapy industry
If you have questions about how travel therapy works, they should be able to answer them.
How can they help you thrive in this industry if they don’t know the ins and outs themselves?
They don’t have a problem with you working with multiple recruiters
Bring this up right away when you interview a new recruiter. If they try to guilt-trip you or have negative energy about it, run the other way.
The good ones will understand you’re just setting yourself up for success.
Competitive pay packages
