Travel Therapy Mentorship Call

You’ll hang up this call with the knowledge, confidence, and mindset
you need to become a successful travel therapist.

Overwhelmed with the thought of leaving your job, moving away from everything and everyone you know, and diving into travel therapy?

We get it. We were scared sh*tless when we sold all our things and moved 2,000 miles away from home for my first travel physical therapy assignment.

But we DID IT AFRAID it was the best decision we’ve ever made.

Living our best life in San Francisco during my first travel physical therapy assignment.

You’re probably here because you’re:

  • Burnt out, overworked and undervalued

  • Dissatisfied and directionless at work and in life

  • Wondering if your career as a therapist is all it’s cracked up to be after 6-7+ long and hard years to earn your degree

  • Itching to travel but have your doubts about travel therapy (after all, your mentors and professors all talked junk on it, right?)

  • Curious about what’s next in life because you sure as hell can’t go on like this

  • OR, you’re a new grad that loves the idea of traveling, but don’t know if you’re ready – spoiler alert: you are!

I totally get it because I’ve been there.

But what if I told you there was a way out of the 9-5 grind? A way to gain more time and financial freedom in life? A way to avoid burnout and help you fall in love with the profession again?

What if I told you I’ve only worked 5-6 months out of the year in 2019, 2020, and 2021 solely because I’m a traveling physical therapist?

Soaking up the sun on on an L.A. beach (in the winter!) while playing our favorite sport together. This was one of our favorite assignments to date!

I (Skip) worked in a permanent PT position right out of school at a prestigious hospital. I had a great job and even better mentors. But I quickly realized that I couldn’t see myself working my life away with only 2 weeks of vacation time a year

Jazz and I were living in Kansas City and feeling completely deflated. On paper, we were “living the dream”. We had good jobs. We lived in a beautiful apartment near one of the most fun entertainment districts in KC. We had both worked our tails off in grad school and graduated at the top of our classes.

But for what? This definitely wasn’t our dream. All the hard work felt pointless. We had an unshakeable feeling in our gut that this was not life as we knew it.

We tried to fill the void with some big moves. First, we were going to adopt a puppy. Then we were going to buy a house in Kansas City. Then we were going to move to Denver.

Lucky for us, none of these plans worked out.

Enter travel physical therapy.

One day, I was calling job recruiters to try and figure out my next move. One of them happened to be a travel physical therapy recruiter. Once I spoke with the recruiter, the lightbulb came on. What if I did travel physical therapy for a year or two?

After much deliberation and research, we followed our gut feeling, sold all our belongings, and drove 2,000 miles out to the central California coast for my first travel physical therapy assignment.

From the moment we smelled the ocean air and caught the first glimpse of the Pacific Ocean, we knew we were made for this lifestyle

What at first seemed like a crazy idea turned out to be the best decision we’ve ever made.

This full-time travel lifestyle has set our souls on fire.

What was supposed to be a year of travel PT has now turned into three years and I don’t see myself stopping anytime soon.

We’re ready to pay it forward because we want you to feel the excitement, joy, passion, and purpose that we now feel about life.

We’re here because you deserve a life with more time and financial freedom. You deserve more than two weeks off a year. You deserve a chance to explore your passions and your purpose both in and outside of work.

And if you’ll let us, we’ll give you tools, mindset, and confidence you need to pull yourself right out of that 9-5 grind.

Enjoying our nine-week (yes, you read that right) honeymoon in S.E. Asia — a trip that wouldn’t have been possible without the time and financial freedom travel therapy provides.

Whether you want to pay off your student loan debt, explore the country, figure out where you want to live or what setting you want to work in – we’re here to tell you that you should go for it. And we’re here to help you feel confident taking the plunge.

We know you are dying to try something new. To see and experience new things. To see what all this world has to offer.

You’re so close to pulling the trigger, but you’re letting your fear, anxiety, mindset, friends, family – whatever it is – hold you back.

And we’re so stoked to coach you through a successful transition into the travel physical therapy industry.

Whether you’re a fresh grad or a seasoned therapist, we can:

  • Answer your questions and put your worries at ease

  • Help you discover your “why” for travel therapy that will ignite your passion and be your guiding light throughout this travel journey

  • Teach you how to become a traveling physical therapist

  • Help you understand the ins and outs of the travel healthcare industry

  • Connect you with a trustworthy recruiter who has your best interests in mind

  • Walk you through the process of landing your first job

  • Connect you with other travelers to find your community on the road

  • Be a resource for you every step of the way during your transition to the travel therapy lifestyle

So what are you waiting for? There is no better time than now! Let’s get this party started!

It’s complicated knowing who to trust but these guys are the ones.”

“I’m really grateful for the help I got from Skip and Jazz. I read a ton of articles about travel PT, and there’s so much to consider, which makes it pretty daunting especially for a new grad like myself. I now feel more confident with asking the right questions during interviews, being knowledgeable with contracts, and spotting good opportunities. Please stop wasting time reading this. Talk to them and see for yourself…they’re awesome!”

I highly recommend Skip & Jazz for anything travel PT related, and I am so thankful for their mentorship as I take this leap into travel PT. “
